Dreaming of Rotterdam
7 October 2006 | 23h17I am currently in the process of setting up an foreign exchange program to allow me to study at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. I would be the first student from the University of Baltimore to study there. The program seems to revolve around economics and European law. Since my goals as a lawyer will touch on at least one if not both of these areas, this would be the ideal location to study.
I would be leaving in Mid-January and would return in late May or early June. It really is amazing how many people need to be involved in the process of sending one student overseas. Right now, I’m working with four people from the University of Baltimore and one from Erasmus. As time goes on, I’ll need to work with more people from Erasmus to set up the little details of the trip, like housing, visas, travel and so on.
More details to come soon.

Hello! I stumbled upon your blog, and I'd like to
taryn | 10 October 2006 | 11h27Hello! I stumbled upon your blog, and I’d like to wish you all the very best!
I’m currently on exchange from the National University of Singapore to the Erasmus University Rotterdam School of Law (the same place you’ll be headed, I guess) and I had to go through all the administrative procedures that you described, and more. It got pretty tiring, and it can get very frustrating as well, at times.
My word of advice is not to give up! I’m really having fun here and I hope that you’ll have an equally great, if not better, time when you head to Rotterdam.
