BlackBerry, Interrupted?
I knew the government couldn’t just let this go…
Today’s Washington Post is reporting that the Justice Department has filed a motion on behalf of the various government agencies asking the court to delay NTPs planned shutdown of the BlackBerry network.
As I posted earlier, the government has taken a particular interest to the federal government (approx. 10% of government workers, according to the Post), so the news isn’t all that surprising. Unfortunately, the federal government can only ask for equitable relief. The decision by the Court of Appeals is final, so the only remaining question is when the BlackBerry goes away for good.
